Glimpses of Her Higher Calling

See how I live life day to day, as a wife, as a pastor's wife, as a mom of 2 adults, as a child of God.

Today’s Adventure

We had a ministry event to attend in Ketchikan. Normally, we would hope on the ferry with our vehicle. It’s a 3 hour ride over on the ferry. There is also the option to fly, but, of course, you wouldn’t have your car. This time, however, the ferry was full. A rarity! There was a totem pole raising event and some of the fish processing plant workers were leaving so space was limited. The weather was nice, so Sunday after church was over, we took our own boat from Hollis to Ketchikan. About an hour and 20 minutes and we were there. We were able to borrow a vehicle there. We did some grocery shopping, attended a couple of ministry events and Wednesday morning we loaded our boat and headed out. A nice weather day but we were going against the tide and there was some wind. Praise report!! I didn’t panic and wasn’t afraid. I did feel like I had been in the spin cycle though. HAHA!! It was quite bumpy. Then we made it to a spot that was smooth as glass and that continued the rest of the way. After we arrived home, we unloaded and settled for a bit then the dogs and I brought Jeremy to the little airport in Klawock to catch the plane to Juneau. I can’t wait to introduce you to more about our lifestyle and give you more glimpses of our everyday things! I thanked God for strengthening me so that I wasn’t afraid on that boat today and that I was able to enjoy the ride. What did you praise Him for today??
