Lately the Lock Screen on my phone has had a picture that says “Keep Me Different, Lord! I don’t mind being left out!” And today I read a post someone shared on Facebook that tied directly to that. Lonely used to bother me. But now I find it a security. I’ve been forming healthy boundaries. I don’t have to let the crazy in my inner chambers. I have the responsibility to tell it, “no!”. The Word tells us in many different books to guard our heart and mind. I’ve often hear, “Jesus sat with sinners.” You’re right, He did. But He didn’t hang out at the bar. And where He sat, people left changed. Or challenged. Who ever is feeling left out today. It may be a blessing in disguise! A blessing to guard your holiness, your heart, your mind, your influence….the “yours list” could go on and on. More than likely, He is drawing you deeper to Him. Don’t use the quiet bored time on your phone. Pick up your Bible, read, pray. Embrace the separate and don’t mope in it.
No man is an island but you don’t need their constant drama. You need Him!
Love you all! Kerin
