I frequently pray “Lord you know what we see and hear each day. Direct those things to be what you need us to see and hear.” Saying that and understanding He is sovereign without me asking these things, I believe He honors that prayer. Today’s devo scripture was Psalm 77:11-12. It reminds us to remember the deeds of the Lord. The wonders of old. His works and His mighty deeds. Also, if you’ve followed along, my study was Genesis then Exodus. I am brought to awe how many pieces are coming together with this year’s reading and studying. Glory to God! And in these 2 books thus far, it has really pointed to those people remembering the mighty deeds of the Lord! He brought them out of Egypt, He brought them to Himself and yet they still grumbled. Does word convict you like it does me? I truly hope so. I am reminded of all my doubts and all the mighty deeds the Lord has done for me. He has never failed me. He won’t. Even if I don’t agree with something He has designed for my life, He isn’t failing me then either. He can’t fail. He is God. Awesome and mighty and faithful! Among other qualities. We aren’t to be like Lot’s wife and preserve our life. We are to look at the Lord’s faithfulness. and trust. And believe! And hold fast! I pray you can do these things today. You’ll never regret going His way. Love you all! Kerin
