We have something in Alaska called fireweed. The thing they say is that when the glooms reach the top and fall off that summer is over. It makes me wonder how the season has gone. Have I been obedient to The Father? Have I been a helpmate to my husband? Have I been a good example to others? I am learning to rest and not feel guilty about it. I don’t mean lazy. Rest. Rest is as important as the work we do. Seasons change and end and sometimes before we are ready. As this season starts changing I pray that The Holy Spirit continues to guide us and that we have an ear to hear His leading. What are you reflecting on today?
One response to “Summer is Almost Over”
Change is always uncomfortable. It stretches you to your limits sometimes. After going through the changes into a new season, there is a great deal of work to find grace in that next season. Watching for the “sunshine” moments where God is really calming your soul and giving you assurance that you are doing well is important. I hope you see many sunshine moments in this new season knowing you are following God’s call. Blessings to you.
